On 10th March 2009 the CRLA held its fourth Showcase in Fraddon. It was a very successful event, and the highlight this year was the visit by Dr Julie Rugg from York University, who opened the Showcase and also presented a lunchtime talk regarding the private rented sector and its contribution and potential. Dr Rugg was commissioned by the the Government Minister for Housing and Planning to undertake a major independent review of the private rented sector and this report (entitled The Rugg Review) is likely to influence government policy and legislation over the next few years.

All Cornish Landlords, whether or not they were members of the CRLA, were invited to come along and browse the various stands, all of which which contained a wealth of useful information. Free seminars on a range of topics were also available.
